Frozen Sherry Trifle Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1 pint heavy cream, whipped
  • 12 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons candied
  • cherries, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Beat egg yolks until very light.
  2. Add sugar and beat well.
  3. Stir in sherry.
  4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, then whipped cream.
  5. Line a large glass bowl with ladyfingers split in half lengthwise.
  6. Add pecans and candied cherries to the cream mixture and pour into the bowl.
  7. Freeze 3-4 hours.
  8. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
