“Any” Fruit Cobbler Recipe

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (21 ounces) any fruit pie filling
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 eggs, unbeaten
  • 2/3 cup shortening, melted
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Put pie filling evenly in greased 9″ x 13″ pan or 10″ pie tin.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and eggs with fork until crumbly.  Then sprinkle over fruit.
  4. Pour melted shortening over top.
  5. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Serve warm or cold.
