Kentucky Bourbon Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

Cake

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ounce bourbon
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Topping

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup bourbon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix all cake ingredients together and beat 5 minutes at medium speed.  Pour into a greased bundt or tube pan.  Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  3. Combine butter, sugar and 1/2 cup bourbon and cook slowly until sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour half the topping on hot cake.  Wait 15 minutes, remove cake from pan, and pour remaining topping on bottom of cake.
  5. Let set for a few minutes, then turn cake upright.
