Freezes Well
Yield: 4 dozen
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 bar (8 ounces) milk chocolate or 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolk and beat well.
- Stir in vanilla and sifted flour.
- Spread thinly on jelly roll pan (11″ x 15″) or cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until light brown.
- Melt chocolate and spread on cookies while still warm.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Cut into 2″ squares.
