Freezes Well
Yield: 2 dozen
Ingredients:
- 1 package (6 ounces) butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a double boiler over hot (not boiling) water, melt butterscotch chips in margarine.
- Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar.
- Let cool 5 minutes, then stir in eggs and vanilla.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and stir into batter.
- Add nuts.
- Spread in a greased 13″x9″ pan and bake for 25 minutes.
- Cut into squares.
