Fudge Sauce Recipe

Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients:

  • 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1-2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4-1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Combine chocolate with 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan or in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts.
  3. Add sugar and salt.
  4. Continue cooking and stirring until sugar melts and the mixture thickens (about 5 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat and blend in butter and vanilla, stirring until butter melts.
  6. Cool and refrigerate in covered glass jar until ready to use.
