Ingredients:
Crust
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 square unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Filling
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon milk or cream
- 2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1-1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate
Instructions:
Crust
- Melt 1/2 cup butter with 1 square chocolate in a saucepan.
- Blend in sugar, vanilla, egg, cracker crumbs, coconut and nuts.
- Mix well and press into an ungreased 11-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ baking dish or a 9″ square pan.
- Refrigerate.
Filling
- Mix 1/4 cup butter, milk, confectioners’ sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- Spread over crumb mixture.
- Chill.
- Melt remaining 1-1/2 squares chocolate and spread evenly over chilled filling.
- Refrigerate and cut into small squares before completely firm.
