French Silk Chocolate Pie

Make Ahead
Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

  • 9″ baked pie shell
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • whipped cream
  • chocolate curls or walnuts for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cream butter.
  2. Gradually add sugar, creaming well.
  3. Blend in melted chocolate and vanilla.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating at medium speed for 5 minutes after each addition.
  5. Turn mixture into cooled pie shell and chill for 1-2 hours.
  6. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or walnuts.
