Creme de Menthe Sherbet Ring Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 pints lemon sherbet
  • 1/3 cup green creme de menthe
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries
  • confectioners’ sugar

Instructions:

  1. Soften sherbet slightly, then beat in large bowl until smooth, but not melted.
  2. Stir in creme de menthe until combined.
  3. Turn mixture into 6-cup round ring mold; freeze until firm.
  4. Wash strawberries; drain but do not hull.
  5. Refrigerate strawberries.
  6. Invert mold over chilled serving platter.
  7. Place hot cloth over mold and shake to release sherbet.
  8. After sherbet has been unmolded onto serving plate, fill center of ring with strawberries.
  9. Dust berries with confectioners’ sugar.
  10. Serve at once.
