Make Ahead
Serves 6-8
Ingredients:
- 1 can (21 ounces) any fruit pie filling
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 2/3 cup shortening, melted
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Put pie filling evenly in greased 9″ x 13″ pan or 10″ pie tin.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and eggs with fork until crumbly. Then sprinkle over fruit.
- Pour melted shortening over top.
- Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Serve warm or cold.
