Freezes Well
Yield: 5 dozen
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Quaker Oats, quick cooking or regular
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup boiling water
Instructions:
- Mix oats with the sugar, salt and flour.
- Add butter and mix well.
- Dissolve baking soda in the boiling water and add to the mixture.
- Form the dough into 2 rolls and chill thoroughly.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut into 1/4″ slices, place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
