Ingredients:
- 1 quart milk, scalded
- 5 tablespoons cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup cold milk
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Gradually add cornmeal to scalded milk.
- Cook for 20 minutes in top of double boiler, stirring constantly.
- Add butter, molasses, salt, cinnamon and eggs and stir to blend.
- Pour into a buttered baking dish.
- Pour cold milk over all and bake for 1 hour.
