Difficulty: Easy
Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (12 ounces) vanilla wafers
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- pecan halves or cashews
Instructions:
- In top of double boiler, combine milk, chocolate, marshmallows and salt.
- Stir over medium heat until melted and mixture is thick.
- Cool to spreading consistency.
- Line 9″ pie tin with vanilla wafers.
- Spoon half of ice cream over wafers, and spread half of chocolate mixture over ice cream.
- Repeat and top with nuts.
- Freeze until firm.
- Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving.
- Use a knife dipped in hot water for easier cutting.
