Make Ahead
Serves 10
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces Zwieback crumbs
- 6 ounces butter
- 14 ounces sugar
- 4 ounces bread flour
- 2 pounds cream cheese
- 1 ounce vanilla
- 4 ounces egg yolks
- 1 pound, 1 ounce cream
- 1/2 ounce salt
- 8 ounces egg whites
Instructions:
- Blend together Zweiback crumbs, butter and 6 ounces of sugar.
- Place in bottom of spring-form pan.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Blend together 8 ounces of sugar, flour, cream cheese and vanilla, then slowly add egg yolks, mixing well.
- Add cream and salt and mix well.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and slowly fold into cheese mixture.
- Pour over crumbs and bake 1 hour, 15 minutes.
