Ingredients:
Crust
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Filling
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
Instructions:
Crust
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all the crust ingredients.
- Blend well with electric mixer until crumbly.
- Press half this mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9″ square pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
Filling
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts over the crust.
- Blend 3 tablespoons flour with caramel, and drizzle over the chips and nuts.
- Cover with remaining half of the crust crumbs.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Chill 1-2 hours.
- Cut into squares.
