Snickerdoodles Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and 1 cup sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat thoroughly.
  4. Sift flour with baking powder and salt, and add in thirds to creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Beat until smooth, after each addition.
  6. Set paper baking cups in a muffin pan and fill halfway with batter.
  7. Combine 3 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
  8. Sprinkle over filled muffin cups.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes.
