Make Ahead
Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 4 cups unpeeled pears, sliced
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter
- whipped cream or cream
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Spread pears in 9″ buttered pie tin.
- Drizzle orange juice over pears.
- Combine sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cut in butter until it forms a crumbly mixture.
- Sprinkle this over pears.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until top is crisp and golden.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or cream.
