Heath Bar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups butter
  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 6 Heath bars

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together.
  3. Add flour and baking soda and mix.
  4. Place the candy bars in a double plastic bag and crush finely with a hammer.
  5. Add the candy to the batter and shape into 2 rolls about 2″ in diameter.
  6. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  7. Cut the rolls into 1/4″ slices and bake for 15 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. The cookies spread during baking, so leave plenty of space between the slices.
