Dameon Fresh Fruit Torte Recipe

Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 pound butter
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • jam for glaze
  • 3 nectarines, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup ground walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Blend flour, butter, egg yolks,
  3. cinnamon, almond extract and sugar.
  4. Pour into two 9″ torte pans (shallow, ridged pans with removable rims).
  5. Bake until browned, about 20 minutes.
  6. Cool.
  7. Warm jam and paint cooled torten.
  8. Arrange sliced nectarines in a circle on torten.
  9. Heap walnuts in center; and if desired, top with more glaze.
