Make Ahead
Serves 6-8
Ingredients:
- 3 egg whites
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
- Slowly add sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in wafer crumbs, nuts, and vanilla.
- Lightly grease a 9″ pie plate and spread mixture evenly in pan.
- Bake for 35 minutes.
- Cool, then spread whipped cream on top.
- Chill 3-4 hours before serving.
